Founded in 1978 by Jim Walley, Walley Forestry Consultants, Inc. has served landowners across South Mississippi for more than 47 years. In 2000, Jim’s son Jamie Walley joined the companies, continuing a family tradition of excellence in both forestry and real estate. For over 26 years, Jim has hosted a two-day national seminar for foresters, showcasing cutting-edge forest management research and technologies. In recent years, more than 90 foresters from six states gathered in Orange Beach, Alabama to participate. His commitment to innovation has taken him abroad to Sweden to study forest inventory technology with Haglöf and across the Southeast to examine genetic seedling research with ArborGen.
