Clarkco State Park about four miles east of CL155 near Quitman, MS has been a favorite Mississippi recreation spot since 1938. Situated on 815 acres of gently rolling woodlands, Clarkco offers camping, cabin rentals, and water sports in a convenient yet unspoiled location, providing the perfect afternoon or weekend getaway retreat.
The Chunky River is a short tributary that flows past Dunn's Falls and into the Chickasawhay River near Enterprise, MS. The Chunky River is about 13 miles long and passes through mostly rural areas, offering opportunities for fishing, canoeing, and kayaking.
The Chickasawhay River flows southward just a few miles west of CL155 and also offers excellent boating, kayaking, and fishing opportunities on its 210-mile trip to join the Pascagoula River. There are several boat ramps located in Clarke County that access the Chickasawhay.
