“Our roots grow deep here in the South. It is always important for landowners to know the value of their timber before they sell. We strive to achieve the utmost respect as we support our clients and use our professional knowledge and guidance to assist them with: timber appraisals, timber management, and timberland sales. If you can't see the forest for the trees then Walley Forestry Consultants, Inc. is here to help. We are family owned and operated, serving clients across the South for more than 40 years.” Jim Walley, owner/president

Walley Forestry Consultants, Inc. is well known for helping timberland owners receive above average timber prices (through competitive marketing) on pine plantation thinning, select cutting, and clear-cuts for more than 40 years. Our team of experienced foresters utilizes GPS/GIS technology to accurately estimate timber sales and reforestation acreage. We are prepared and fully equipped with the newest technologies such as: timber measuring devices, enhanced property mapping and boundary capabilities, and computer software data programs. We do all this to ensure our clients that the information provided is indeed accurate and precise volume estimates.

A four-page timber sale prospectus is sent to more than 100 timber companies and buyers. Competitive sealed bids are opened in our attorney's office located here in Ellisville, Mississippi. Our timber deed helps to protect our clients' valued interests, as we proceed working with timber companies and harvesting crews to ensure that all residual timber, roads, and fences are fully protected and safe from harm. Additionally, we work with local, state, and governmental entities in obtaining monies to help offset site preparation and reforestation expenses.

Depending upon the quality, quantity, and accessibility of timber; the number of bidders may range anywhere from 5 to 10 with the high bid ranging from 20% to 50+% over the low bid.
